Bethan Sayed was a
Member of the National Assembly for Wales between May 2007 and April 2021. This

Main interests and
achievements
Bethan enjoys swimming and going to the gym, as well as
watching football and rugby league. She also enjoys music and plays the viola.
Bethan's political interests include economic development,
international affairs, women's rights, asylum issues, protection of local
services, and the provision for eating disorders in Wales.
Professional
background
Bethan is former president of Aberystwyth Guild of Students
and a member of the Welsh Language Society.
Political history
After being elected to the National Assembly in 2007, Bethan
was a member of the Petitions Committee, the Public Accounts Committee
(formerly the Audit Committee) and the Communities and Culture Committee. She
was also Plaid Cymru spokesperson on child poverty and cultural issues.
