highlight the fantastic opportunities here in Brecon & Radnorshire. James
is a keen rugby player and is proud to have captained the second team with
Gwernyfed Rugby Club. James loves to keep fit and regularly attends the gym. A
proud dog owner, James loves walking in the wonderful countryside in his
constituency with his spaniel Daisy.
Personal history
James was born and raised in
the wonderful constituency of Brecon and Radnorshire. Brought up on the family
farm, James has a passion for the outdoors, for agriculture and protecting the
valuable role that industry plays in our area. James’ teenage years were spent
in Young Farmers taking him all around the constituency, building friendships
and partnerships, developing life skills.
James did not follow the traditional political career route, choosing
not to go to University, instead learning through work experience. He is passionate about achieving the best
possible results for his constituency.
Political history
In 2017 James was elected as a
County Councillor for Gwernyfed Ward and then Cabinet Member in Powys County
