Starting a petition is a great way to use your voice for something that matters to you.
All petitions with 250 or more signatures are looked at by the Petitions Committee.
It can decide to:
- ask for information about the petition from the Welsh Government or other relevant organisations
- send the petition to another committee to look at
- hear more from the individual(s) or organisation who started the petition
- write a report on the petition, and make recommendations to the Welsh Government
- request time to debate the petition in a Plenary meeting
- close the petition
