In response to the Welsh Government announcement concerning enterprise zones today, Russell George AM, Chair of the Economy, Infrastructure and Skills Committee, has issued the following statement.
Mr George said:
"The Economy, Infrastructure and Skills Committee is currently undertaking an inquiry into the impact of Welsh enterprise zones.
"We have been clear from the outset of our intention to establish the progress and achievements of the zones along with the Government's strategy for their future development.
"We note the announcement by the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport today and will consider it as part of our evidence before releasing our findings in the near future."
