About

This is a great way to educate young people about the Senedd and the Welsh Youth Parliament. From learning who represents them to how to go about petitioning the young people will learn how to get their voice heard in Parliament. The session aligns with the four purposes of Curriculum for Wales, and encourages young people in Wales to be moral, informed citizens who are prepared to be citizens of Wales and the world.

The session offers learners the opportunity to:

  • discuss current affairs based on their knowledge and values
  • understand and exercise their human and democratic responsibilities and rights
  • understand and consider the impact of their actions in choosing and acting.
