Louise set up a “pop up shop” in Ffynongarw receiving donations of clothing for those fleeing domestic abuse. By asking colleagues and the community for donations, Louise has collected a year’s supply of clothing.

Alison and her friends in Flint used their sewing skills to turn donated materials into scrub bags, scrubs, hats and masks, and gave them to NHS and care home staff to help keep them safe and comfortable.
Northop Hall’s Presbyterian Church’s lunch club

Jean, Angela, Jennifer, and Ann of Northop Hall’s Presbyterian Church’s lunch club.
The lunch club has been providing lunches to the community’s elderly for six years.This year they went the extra mile and delivered easter lunches and teas to their 30 members.
Laura Jones and her team at Chippy Chippy

The team has been described as angels for feeding children in need, but also for engendering community spirit. They prepared free meals for children in need, paid for initially from their own money, but their efforts have since received national attention and now many people help out by donating money and time.
Stephanie Roberts and team at the Gwalchmai Hotel

The Hotel have been supplying food parcels for the elderly; Easter and Haloween parcels fod children; and free meals for local children. Steph has also been busy helping collect shopping, prescriptions. Nothing has been too much for them.
Caru Amlwch

Caru Amlwch have gone above and beyond to make sure that everyone who was economically affected during covid-19 or who were unable to leave the house due to isolation could access food. This included establishing a network of local volunteers in Amlwch and surrounding areas.
Brooke Graham

13 year old Brooke has been busy making and selling cheesecakes and traditional sponge cakes in her community of Maesgeirchen, Bangor.
She raises money to purchase much needed essentials for the NHS.
Porthi Pawb

The crew at ‘Porthi Pawb’ (which translates to ‘Feeding Everyone’) have been busy this year.
‘Porthi Pawb’ are a community cooking project, supplying hot meals to the vulnerable, older people, and children in Caernarfon, using food contributions from local business.
To date they have supplied over 14,000 meals!
Bangor food share

The environmental community project redistributes surplus stock at open events, rescuing food from landfill while supporting people in need.
Ian Turner
